Audience and Agenda: Health Care for America Now (HCAN) is a section 501(c)(4) issue advocacy organization. Members of the HCAN group include a wide range of nonprofit and political organizations that are working together to promote quality, affordable health care to all Americans. HCAN is related to Health Care for America Education Fund, a project of the Tides Center, a section 501(c)(3) public charity.

Usefulness: HCAN is an organization that is devoted to promoting universal health care to all Americans. It’s joined by nonprofit, charitable, and political organizations that believe Americans benefit from healthy communities, where all Americans can have affordable health care and choose the right provider for them. This web site was useful to me, however, there is a whole other side to this situation and they are not stating any of the consequences if the U.S. government does provide universal health care to all Americans. I think we all need to see the big picture, not just one side of the spectrum.
